We are rapidly growing photo booth company located in the heart of Kansas City, and we are hiring for our busy season of April - September. Here at The Photo Bus, we offer a variety of booths, from 1960’s era Volkswagen buses, to free standing open air booths, to the classic enclosed booth. Our events and clients range from weddings and parties to major activations with clients like Coca-Cola and McDonald’s. We are looking to add up several people to our team including: a studio manager, a studio assistant, a communications intern, and up to five additional booth pros to our event staff roster.
STUDIO MANAGER
Full time
Wage: $18/hr
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Studio Manager to oversee the operations and logistics of our photo booth company. The Studio Manager will be responsible for managing the gear, setting up and tearing down equipment, communicating with staff members, and assisting the Creative Director. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a proactive and self-motivated individual who can ensure smooth operations and provide exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Gear Management:
Organize and maintain gear for all photo booths, ensuring they are functioning properly and ready for events.
Restock paper, props, and cables as needed to ensure availability for upcoming events.
Check and repair background stands or any other gear to ensure they are in good working condition.
Prepare tablets with event logos and upload pre-event designs.
Event Coordination:
Ensure events are adequately staffed by communicating with and scheduling staff members.
Contact staff members before events via text or call to provide necessary information and instructions.
Serve as an on-call support person for staff members during events to address any issues or emergencies.
Communication and Team Management:
Facilitate communication between The Photo Bus and the Booth pro staff.
Train and educate staff members on photo booth operations, customer service, and company policies.
Recruit, interview, and hire new staff members as needed.
Act as a point of contact for staff members who need assistance or need to miss an event.
Warehouse and Studio Organization:
Maintain and organize the gear within the warehouse/studio space.
Ensure cleanliness and functionality of the warehouse/studio area.
Assist in setting up super specialty booths and building projects in the studio as directed by the Creative Director.
Assistant to the Creative Director:
Provide support to the Creative Director in various tasks and projects.
Assist in on-site management during large events, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience in event management, logistics, or a related field is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with staff and clients.
Proficient in using technology, tablets, and photo booth software.
Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

BOOTH PRO
YOU might be qualified if you are the following:
1. Friendly, outgoing and like working directly with customers and clients
2. Have regular weekend availability
3. Enjoy working in the event industry
Minimum Required qualifications:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must have a car
- Must be able to lift 40+ lbs
- Available at least 2 weekends a month
- Must be outgoing and extroverted

Please note:
This is a part time job. Some weeks you could work up to 3 events. Some weeks you may not work at all. Our busiest season is May-October, however we have events throughout the year. We operate on a “first come first serve” basis for who works which job. Sometimes the booth will already be set up and sometimes you will pick up the gear in our KCK location and deliver it back after the event!

STUDIO ASSISTANT (INTERNSHIP)
Works directly with the Studio Manger + Owner
Flexible scheduling
Must be available during weekdays
Some weekend availability required
Anticipated hours: 3 - 6 hours a day, 10 - 20 hours a week
General duties include:
Assisting the studio manager in the following ways:
Maintaining and organizing photo booth equipment
Cleaning and maintaining the studio space
Setting up events and prepping event gear
Assisting the owner in the following ways:
Picking up equipment from various locations
Running work related errands
Occasionally running personal errands
Miscellaneous photo bus tasks
Qualifications:
16+ years or older
Valid driver's license
Willingness to study & become well-versed with Photo Bus operations
Working collaboratively with others
Having ownership in the work you do

Communication skills
Ability to contribute and work well on a team

Assisting the Director of Operations in the following ways:
Writing emails
Following up with clients
Assisting the director of operations directly
Assisting the CEO directly
